Hi
I have his birth date not from an original source, but from the Örebro Emigrant Index at http://194.103.205.88/stadsarkiv/emigrant_immigrant_eng.htmhttp://194.103.205.88/stadsarkiv/emigrant_immigrant_eng.htm
As with all secondary sources, there may be typing errors.
But the probability for two different Karl Johan Lundberg born in the same month, in the same year, in the same town and who both emigrated to America, isn't large.
Farm labourer is his title when emigrating from Sweden. He may well have been a machinist in America.
The Ellis Island website contains information only about emigrants arriving in New York, not other ports.
The Family History Library has microfilms of births in Karlskoga only uptil the year 1866. Later years will hopefully be filmed in the future. But they already now have microfilms of the annual censuses uptil the year 1895.
