Thank you for the info on the marriage records. I would love to send a copy of the obit to you, and will as soon as I can get my act together. The obit states her name as Ellen J. Lunbeck, it states "she was one of nine children of whom only three were living at the time of her death (Mrs. William Harper, Mrs. J.C. Duncan and Mr. Daniel H. Lunbeck). On October 26 of 1854 she was married to John W. Duffield who departed this life March 29, 1866. She united with the Rocky Spring Presbyterian church at the age of sixteen. In 1900 she tranferred her membership to the First Presbyterian Church Greenfield, Ohio. For the last six years of her life she was a great sufferer but found much comfort in Christ......The end of her pilgrimage came peacefully on Friday evening February eight, 1907....She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, three sons and two grandchildren." (The daughter is mentioned in the obit of Joseph L. Duffield as his half-sister Mrs George Sims of Toledo, Ohio . She is also named as the half-sister of Joseph Alexander Pinkerton, son of Joseph and Rebecca Lunbeck Pinkerton, in his obit. This is the only info I have on her). The obit is from a newspaper and is pasted on stiff paper, it is in bad shape but was not torn in two, so nothing has been lost. I do not know where Ellen Judith is buried but figure she is probably in Greeenfield area, maybe buried as a Pinkerton. Joseph L, Duffield was interred in Greenfield Cemetary (according to his obit) as are Robert William Duncan and his wife Laura Adams Duncan and Joseph Duncan. Catherine Lunbeck Duncan may also be there as she was at the time of her death living in Greenfield ( "she was the oldest member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenfield"). I still find it very odd that the name on the obituary was given as Ellen Judith Duffield, and that no mention is made of a marriage to Joseph McCoy Pinkerton. My late brother worked on the family tree for many years and was in correspondence with several living (at the time) members of the family, and my parents gave him information, and Mrs Sims was listed in an obit as half-sister to my Grandfathers brother (Joseph A. Pinkerton) but no one mentioned the marriage. All for now.
