Looking for descendents of the Lumsden Family that lived around Petersburg, VA. The following information is from the Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.

Charles Lumsden, 1813-1886

Martha Laura Lumsden, 1815-1899

Catharine Lumsden, 1825-1840

William Edwin Lumsden, Eldest son of C & MLLumsden, 1827-1845.

Susan P. Andrews Lumsden, wife of Rev'd James D. Lumsden
Children, Andrew A. Lumsden, Mary W. Lumsden

Arthur L. Lumsden, 1842-1919

DR. George P. Lumsden, US Navy, 1853-1925

Charles Lee Lumsden, 1864-1895

This could be part of the William and Agnes T. Lumsden family, born in Scotland, may have had a son, Rev James Drybourh Lumsden, born 3 Nov. 1811 In Edinburgh, d. 1887 in Petersburg, VA. They emigrated to America in 1817, James settled in Poughkeepsie, NY and from 1826, William and family was in Petersburg, VA.

Part of this family apparently migrated to Alabama.

Charles L. Lumsden, Commander of The Lumsden Battery in the Civil War, could be part of this family?

Seeking Lumsden descendents from this family to apply for Lumsden Y-DNA testing to prove another line of Lumsden families in the USA. This family probably emigrated to America from Fife, Scotland.
