Not the answer to your query I regret but I feel the information should sit by yours for future searchers.

Great grandfather's brother James Errington Ross (1826-1901) married Jemima Milne whose mother was Isabella LUMSDEN (1806-1905) daughter of John LUMSDEN of Eggie.
She married Alexnder Milne ,Blairshinnoch, Banffshire and they retired to Tomich House near Beauly, Inverness-shire.A Ross cousin related she died having fallen downstairs in her 99th year.

In the family papers was a page of inscriptions of the LUMSDEN stones in Bellhelvie Churchyard - as follows :

In memory of James LUMSDEN, Esq. of Auchry and Belhelvie
died 1869
Table stone records
Under this stone rest the mortal remains of John LUMSDEN who rented for years the farm of Eggie in this parish and died Nov 1880 aged 52.
Barbara LUMSDEN eldest daughter of John LUMSDEN , Overmill died 1794
Isobel Simpson wife of John LUMSDEN, Eggie who died 1807 aged 56 ( These are the father & mother of James LUMSDEN of Auchry )
John LUMSDEN, Overmill died 1823 aged 67
Bathia Smith wife of George LUMSDEN ,farmer, Keir, died 1925 aged 24
John LUMSDEN son of George LUMSDEN ,Keir died 18??
" All these Lumsdens are descended from the Titaboutie branch of the Lumsdens."
