Hi,

I'm researching a Rebecca Lumley born in North Carolina on 20 May 1803. I would like to find the true parents.

I'm not sure about the parentage of Rebecca Lumley. After more research on Rebecca, I find two contradicting records - a 1837 marriage record to Alexander Ottwell in Pike County, IL and the US census records - 1830 Henderson County, TN and 1840 Tishaminigo County, MS where she is married to Samuel David Spain. Also there is an age difference of 3 years. I was thinking that maybe they are two different persons maybe cousins in the same family.

I've also seen the surname spelled "Lumla".

I appreciate any help.
