Hi William!
My name is Letrice Luman Scott and I am also a decendent from the Aaron Luman line. I have just gotten into my father's side of the family and have hit a wall at Aaron. I found a 1800 census in Fredrick MD listing Aaron and an Elenor Luman (wid). As that is where Aaron was born I wondered if she might be a sister in law or sister.I realize that your last mail on Genform was several years ago but there isn't much more info out there since then. I haven't found a wife for Aaron. I am wondering if Caleb and Aaron might have been brothers or cousins. I have Aarons dates of 1740-1827. Also there is a ____Luman (1760) listed as Aaron's son, maybe that is Caleb.
My family line is as follows:
Aaron
Zadock
Henry H
Joseph Madison
Henry Wilson, Sr.
Henry Wilson, Jr. (my fa)
My grandfather died when I was just 2 yrs old but I remember that my dad said his people were "Black Dutch" which were of German decent not Holland becasuse of the dark eyes and hair. Also because of names or dates I have found that many many Lumans/Loomans/Lohmanns/Lewmans migrated from MD>Tenn>Arkansas>Texas. I live in Central Texas but my father's family lived a little northwest of me in the Comanche/Brownwood area. However there are tons of cousins in East Texas.
I would love to have any info you might have and I would be happy to share mine. I got alot of info from Ancestory.com and have updated info not there.
Please feel free to contact me via e-mail at [email protected] forward to hearing from you.
Thank You,
Letrice Luman Scott
