Anaya Familia
My name is Kathy Mesa and I am 3rd generation of the Lujan name. My mother's maiden name was Lujan. Her name is Theodora Lujan. I was amazed at all the information you had on the Lujan name. I have been reseaching the name as well. I do know that is derived from Spain. I am aware of the Basilica of Lujan in Argentina. I am also aware of the high ranks that Lujans of the past held. Such as mayors.
I would like to see if you can help me obtain information and or resources to help me track my heritage. I have found that my great grandmother's maiden name was Anaya.
My grandfather was Jesus Lujan born August 1, 1896. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He is listed in SSC as Jose Jesus Lujan. I still have family there. My grandmother was born in Jalisco, Mexico on May 22, 1912. I have been told that Lujans were the Mayors of Chihuahua at one point of time. In your research, have you come across that? My grandparents met in San Fernando, California in the late 20's. They were wed when my grandmother turned 18 years old. My grandfather would go back and forth to Mexico at times. My grandfather was a very talented man. He was known in San Fernando as the "Musician". He played the violin and piano. He taught music. He played in a band. He also was a fabulous baker. He would make pan dulce. All my grandfather's sister (no brothers) except one have all passed away. The only one still alive is my Tia Inez. She currently lives in Chihuahua still. I can only remember tell you of one sister her name was Maria Lujan.
I would like so much to speak with you. So, when you have a chance, e-mail at [email protected]
Thanks,
Take Care,
Kathy
