Roger Ludlow of Wilts., Connecticut & Dublin
I am researching the family of Roger Ludlow (b. 1590 in Dinton, Wilts., d. c. 1665 prob. in Dublin, Ireland). He came to New England in 1630 and was tremendously important in the early days of Massachusetts and Connecticut colonies. However, he went back to England in 1654 and ended up acting for Cromwell in Dublin on the Commission to determine claims to forfeited lands. He had several children: Jonathan, Joseph, Roger, Anne, Mary and Sarah, all apparently minors in the 1650s.Sarah is said to have married Rev. Nathaniel Brewster who later returned to America (thus providing American descendants -- if true).Does anyone have any information on Roger or his children after their return to England and Ireland? Thanks.
