Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Wife of Van Wyck Anthony.
Descendant of Col. Henry Ludington, of New York.
Daughter of John Hustis and Laura Ann Ludington, his wife.
Granddaughter of Lewis Ludington and Mary Townsend, his wife.
Gr.-granddaughter of Henry Ludington and Abigail Ludington, his wife (cousins).

Henry Ludington, (1738-1817), was in several important battles, and at White Plains was complimented by the Commander-in-Chief for gallantry, and attained the rank of
colonel. His commissions are preserved in the family. He was so obnoxious to the British that Howe offered a reward for his capture, dead or alive. He was born in Branford, Conn., and died in Kent, N. Y.
