Kent,

Is there a possibility that John and Susannah had a daughter named Margaret? She was born 24 Feb 1826 and married my great grandfather, Andrew Jackson Eaves in Union Co. IL (14 Mar 1847). The birthdate fits after David (b. 10 Jan 1822). Andrew Jackson and Margaret lived next to John and Catherine Lookinbee in the 1850 Union Co., IL Census. Andrew and Margaret lived at dwelling and family number 1128 and John and Catherine lived at dwelling and family number 1129.

1850 Federal Census of Union Co. IL (Copied and Indexed by Bernice C. Richard)
Name Age Gender Birth Occupation Real Estate Notes
Lookinbee, John 39 M NC Farmer
Catherine 23 F NC C.R.
Hannah 2 F IL
(C.R. = Couldn't read or write)

1850 Federal Census of Union Co., IL District 2, November 13, 1850 (Copied and Indexed by Bernice C. Richard)
Name Age Gender Birth Occupation Real Estate Notes
Eves, Andrew 26 M TN Farmer C.R.
Margaret 24 F NC
Jesse 1 M IL
(C.R. = Couldn't read or write)

There also seems to be a Swicegood connection to these two couples. Andrew and Margaret cared for Phillip Swicegood during his last months.

Ron Eaves
