That is good interesting information...thank you for sharing it. I have the line back so far to Johann Heinrich Luzius (-1816)+ Elisabeth Christel (1761-1813). He was b Sembach, she in Glashutte. I am working on it! and will eventually get further back. It appears that Alsenz was near Alsace, but in Germany. Were your family Protestant?

In 1998 I visited St. Luzius Church in Chur Switzerland...interesting he was Roman Catholic.

Interesting that you have Buffalo NY...I was b there! This Luzius family lived in Parma, near Toledo, but many stayed in Cleveland. I imagine that your family is related, if someone took the time to figure it out. I am working on this for my mother-in-law's 90th b'day. I have a large tree, with 14,000 plus of my own family.
