Just found this info for Samuel D. LUCE and his bride from their Marriage record -
Samuel D. LUCE and Miss Abigail N. SPENCE (not Spencer as I had it previously, but this also could be a typo).
Both resided in New Sharon, ME.
Married by Samuel Bradbury, Justice of the Peace in New Sharon, ME on Dec. 20, 1834. (no further info)
The Birth records of their children (this may not be all of them but its all I could find for now)
1st child - Francis/or Francil A. Luce b. Sept. 14, 1835 at Industry, Franklin Co., Maine
2nd child - Evelyn W. Luce b. Jan. 6, 1837 same place (all children shown born in Industry to parents Samuel D. Luce and Abigail N. _______.
3rd child - Amelia Luce b. Aug. 12, 1840
4th child - Samuel H. Luce b. July 6, 1843
5th child - Sarah W. Luce b. Sept. 6, 1845
6th child - Burton L. Luce b. Nov. 17, 1847
7th child - George W. Luce b. Aug. 6, 1849
8th child - Harry E. Luce b. Oct. 18, 1850
9th child - Dexter G. Luce b. Apr. 29, 1854 Again All shown as born in Industry, Maine.
An odd recorded Birth record for the Father Samuel D. Luce showed his birth as Jan. 26, 1817 in Industry, ME but no parents were listed for him.
Same with his wife Abigail...Her birth was listed as Feb. 18, 1814 in Industry and no parents for her either.
If anyone knows anything about either of these folks, I would really appreciate knowing a bit more about them.
