Born in suburban Pittsburgh, PA, these are the 5 daughters of Joseph and Francis (born Stegina) Lucas, before Joseph died in 1923, at age ~36. Joseph Lucas was the brother of my grandfather, Stephen Lucas, Jr. (Above info from 1920 & 1930 census forms.) I would love to hear from or about these 5 women and/or their children and grandchildren. These 5 women would be my father's cousins, and any of their children would be my second cousins.

I have searched this whole Lucas message board, back to the 1998 postings. It appears that most Lucases come from the UK. However, Stephen Sr. and Gertrude Lucas (my great-grandparents) emigrated from Austria (according to the census forms). Might their names have been changed/"Americanized" upon entry into the US? Does anyone have any suggestions how to go back in time tracing Stephen Sr. and Gertrude in Austria?
