William Luby and Hanora Connelly. The emigrated in 1846-49 from the port of Limerick and entered USA through Philadelphia. The lived in Shefford township near Quebec. The both died in 1873 and are buried in Granby, near Quebec. The farm on which they lived had three homesteads where they lived along with their son John and daughter, who was married to Terance O’Brien. The William and Hanora had 11 children, John, b. 1822, Margaret, b. 1824, Alice,b. 1826, Bridget, b. 1828, Mary, b. 1831, ellen, b. 1835, William, . 1836, Thomas, b. 1839, Edmund, b. 1841, James, b. 1843, Michael, b. 1845 ( although his obit. says 1847). Moved to Zanesville, OH in 1865. Not definite that they all emigrated to USA & Canada. John married Mary Phelan and had 10 children. Michael married Mary A. Cullinan and had five living children at death. William and Hanora lived in Milltowm Britton which is a townland in the parish of Powerstown and Lisronagh, near Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, IRELAND. The Tab records of the 1820’s indicate that William (Looby) Luby was the holder of 4 acres of good land. John Looby and Patrick looby lived nearby (brothers?)
