Thanks David, As much as I would love a connection, I don't think it makes sense as my Thomas C. Luby was born in Ireland, and his father was also a Thomas C. (don't know if there is any connection to the famous Feinian but kind of think that it would be part of the family legend if there was). Also, the John Luby mentioned in the court papers was living in Chicago in 1893, and likely was an adult as he was meant to be helping the widow manage her affairs.
