Mike-You do good work!!!!About your questions, I don't know, but it is a good line of thought.First, were there two Andrew Doners?Pobably the best way to answer that is to find a Doner who is also searching for roots in NY-Vt.Usually given names repeat frequently in a family tree. So, it is very possible that Lucy had a brother Andrew and other siblings born in NY.Yes Lucy and Jessie may have been half sisters, or, even cousins (we have no documentation unless Pat has it).Andrew J. may have been married twice, but I think it is also possible that the family moved across the lake to Benson where the rest of the siblings were born.If Lucy was born in Champlain, were siblings also born there? One of our major roadblocks seem to be the lack of dates prior to those you just posted. Also keep in mind that Chazy and Peru are townships. If they have a common border, and the only access to a rural area of Peru is from Chazy, then records could show either town as place of birth, etc.I have this situation with my father's p.o.b.Off course, the marriage certificate would answermost of our questions. Why don't you check with Pat on these questions as he has been into this longer than we have.Keep hunting (do you have a job?You seem to have a lot of time to devote to this.Just curious).
I hope we aren't trying to make this too complicated.
Cuz Dick
