My great grandfather was John Wesley Lowrance born Dec. 2, 1870 and great great grandfather was Alexander, born Feb. 22, 1830. They were father and son rather than brothers. I have pictures of their gravesites at Mt. Olive Cemetary in Cloudland, GA (Walker County). My mother is 83 years old and she remembers a lot about the Lowrances from her childhood. She remembers her uncle Andy (Andrew) and Aunt Jane (Mary Jane). I am 61 years old and can remember John Wesley as he lived with my grandfather, his son, Erskine (E. L.). I was afraid of him because he was a burly looking fellow with a gruff voice. I have only a vague memory of my great grandmother, Margarate Elizabeth (Lizzie). If you have more info, I would appreciate so much hearing from you.
