OAKLAND, Calif. - Private services were held for Mrs. Iris A. Lowndes, 88, of Oakland, formerly of Schenectady, who died Sunday at Piedmont Gardens Skilled Nursing Facility in Oakland.
Born in Schenectady, lived in Normal, Ill., and Cincinnati, Ohio, before moving to California in 1960.
John Henry Lowndes, whom she married Nov. 26, 1936, died in 1982.
Survivors include her son, David Lowndes of Oakland; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements were by the Neptune Society.
