I have the following information on George W. Lowman. I wouls appreciate any feedback or additions. I also have George's ancestors.
George W. Lowman came to Hernando County approx. 1853 from South Carolina. On 17 March 1889, he married Lizzie Glover. They had four sons: Anzly Irvin b. 10-6-1881; Charles Lafayette b. 3-7-1880, d. 1950; George Washington Jr. b. 12-7-1895 d. 2-15-1968; and, Solomon Franklin b. 7-31-1890, d. Jan. 1979.
George Washington Sr. filed an Application for Pension with the State of Florida for disabilities as a result of the Civil War.
Charles Lafayette married Anna Palzetta Sanchez on October 25, 1905. Charles served on the Hernando County Board of Commissioners from 1917 to 1919 and again from 1935 to 1941. Charles and his wife had ten children.
Solomon Franklin married Janie Clifford Bishop of Istachatta. She died 11-5-1925 and is buried in New Hope Cemetery.
