This is not my line, but many birth records appear in the Friedens Lutheran Church 1800-1853 Birth Records for a family of this name. The church is located in the eastern part of present-day Guilford Co, NC. Original records have been translated from German, and spelling appears as originally recorded, and so numerous variations are found...
Given names include Adam, Andrew, Jacob, George, Christina, Elizabeth, Margaretha, Anna Maria, Magdalena and others. Family appears to be associated with Swisher/Schweitzer, Sutz/Suits Schmidt/Smith, and Gerringer's who also appear in these records.
