Am looking for information on William Lohman/Lowman, ropemaker of Philadelphia, will 3/17/1788 and 11/23/1788, 1st m. Eva Guier 1755 (ch. Elizabeth, Mary, Ann, John), 2nd m. Veronica Falckenstein 1766 (ch. William, Jacob, Eve, Frederick, Joseph, Salome, Adam). The name is spelled Lohman in German Lutheran church records but Lowman in 1790 census, in 1789 will of his brother-in-law Adam Guier, and in two indentures I suspect are his 1772 & 1773. Adam Guier owned property in New Castle, DE and so WL may have been a son of Samuel Lowman d. 1729 of that county. WL also may have been grandson of Christian Lehman, d. 1775, Phila. Help? Os Cresson
