My ggggrandmother was Emily A. Lowery (aka Lowrey) born 1823 in Fayette AL. She married John Boy Ray who was born 1822 in S.C. I just wonder if there's any connection with your ancestors? Or were those two last names real common then (like Smith and Jones)?
