I found a Military Pension record for James Lowery
that is a highly probably document. Here is what it
said:
19th Alabama K Company
Name of Pensioner; Mary Lowery. Witnesses; A. G. King
and D. L. Alldredge.
I'm pretty sure George and John both were in the war,
but I'm still looking for verification. I'm sure
because only certain regiments recruited from the
Cherokee County area and a John and a George Lowery
(and James) were in those regiments...I just like to
have two forms of proof before declaring it a fact.
