I'm looking for information on my GGgrandmother Alice Lowe. She married an unknown Holmes, and the only child I know of from their union is Addie Elizabeth Holmes who married Joseph Posey childers. Addie was born on 22 Nov. 1900- 12 Oct 1955.
Alice and her husband would have been born between 1855-1880 probably. Any information you may have on her husband, Mr Holmes, on her parents, siblings, death, DOB, or her children would be greatly appreciated.
Her daughter Addie was born in Cassville, Bartow Co, Ga. And her husbands name might have been Charles or Charley, because Addie named one of her children Charles.
They also might have mispelled her married name HOLMES as HOHNES in the 1900 census. It has an Alice HOHNES listed as married to a Charley, her age is 29, and it was in Bartow Co, Ga.
There is some speculation as to whether or not she was from TN. And it is believed that she and her husband died and were buried in Talladega AL.
