I would like to make contact with Descendants of Daniel and Sarah who may be interested in attending a Civil War Ceremony in Buna Jasper co TX on March 15, 2008 at Antioch Cemetery for a Civil War Memorial Dedication to Sarah's brother Andrew David Crockett. The Sons of the Confederate Veterans Chpt in Orange and the Black Rose Chpt also of Orange will be their as well Their will be a cannon salute to Andrew and members of the descendants of Andrew David Crockett I will be the featured guest speaker for the Crockett Family and I would like a representative of Daniel and Sarah's family to be their as well if at all possible the Civil War Marker to be placed in Antioch will contain on the back of the stone the names of all 7 of Andrew and Clarissa;s children as well as dates Clarissa's name will also be engraved on the stone as well. If you are interested in attending please RSVP me by email before March 1, 2008 so I may know how many will be in attendance. For those of you who dont know we have discovered that Sarah Crockett Lowe March 6 1853 (Jasper co TX) to one Benjamin Richardson. (She is listed as Mrs. Sarah Lowe on the marriage records to Benjamin. Sarah and Benj had 3 children Andrew David Richardson, Clarissa/Claricy Richardson and Lettie/Letteha Richardson Living with Sarah and Benjamin in 1860 Jasper Was Sarah and Daniel's son John B Lowe and his wife Barbery/Barbara Kelly. Sarah's age and place of birth are incorrect on this census they list her as age 24 b AL I think the census taker may have reversed her age and meant to put 42 Sarah was b in abt 1820 I believe in Louisiana. But it could of been in Mississippi My cousin donated his DNA for testing at my request we have come to learn our Crockett's matched DNA with known Descendants of Col Anthony Crockett who moved from Wythe co VA to Franklin Co KY and also matched DNA With Samuel Crockett who married Esther Thompson. this was on a 35 Marker Test. Samuel Crockett was appointed guardian of Col Anthony when Anthony's father William Crockett died Anthony's mother is unk but his step mother was Agness Ritchie. the 12 Marker Test matched 11 for 12 with one being a mutant gene. Children of SARAH CROCKETT and BENJAMIN RICHARDSON are: vi. ANDREW3 DAVID RICHARDSON, b. Abt. 1852. 1910 Jasper Co TX census age 56 listed as Justice of the Peace of Jasper co TX MARRIED 2 TIMES 1) WIFE UNK AND MOTHER OF ALL HIS CHILDREN 2) SUSA WRIGHT 12 MAY 1887 both Andrew and Susa buried Jasper Co TX vii. CLARASEY RICHARDSON, b. Abt. 1854. married Henry Hardy Taylor 29 Jun 1870 Jasper co Tx (Henry later remarried) I have further info on Clarissa and Henry) viii. LETTEHA RICHARDSON, b. Abt. 1858. married R A Thompson 12 July 1872 Jasper Co TX (No further info found on Letteha and RA Thompson after marriage) Benjamin died of disease 4 Jun 1864 Beaumont Jefferson Co TX as part of Co D Spaights Battalion 11th Texas Volunteers according to his CW Records he had been sick since Feb 1864 Sarah Crockett Lowe Richardson settled his estate and John Richardson SR was appointed guardian ad litem of the children Dec Term 1864 Jasper Benjamin richardson records 1862 - Enlisted in Co D, Spaights Battalion, 11th Texas Volunteers, July 4, 1 1862, at Sabin e Pass or Smith's Bluff, depending on record one looks at, for three years/war. Present fo r duty Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec 1862; Jul and Aug 1863; Jan 1863; Absent - sick since Feb 28, 1864 -Feb 1854, Mar 1864 - Absent-sick; June 1864 - June 4, 1864-died at Beaumont, Tx from disease. June Term 1864-Sarah Richardson, surviving widow, requests that appraisers of estate be appointed whereby court appointed James A. Craig, Benjamin Williams, and Albert Nantz as appraiser s. Book C, pp 638&639. July Term 1864 - Sarah Richardson renders inventory and appraisement of property belonging to estate: Livestock, 160 acres of land and miscellaneous household items and notes appraise d at $641.50. Appraised by James A. Craig, Benjamin Williams and Albert Nantz. Approved 25 Jul 1864. Minutes of Probate Court of Jasper County, Texas Book D, pp. 9-10. December Term 1864 - John Richardson, Sr. appointed guardian "ad litem" of the estate of the minors Andrew, Clarissa and Letty Richardson heirs of Benjamin Richardson, deceased. Sarah files petition for partition and distribution of the estate. (This is the last account I have for Sarah Crockett Lowe Richardson)I have been unsuccessful at finding her grave I have copies of the Bible Records of Daniel's father and copies of Daniel's father's will which state Daniel was deceased and his unk heirs lived in Texas. Daniel is named as Daniel Mallett Lowe in the Bible Records Debra I would like an RSVP by March 1 of anyone wishing to attend the Civil War Ceremony. I will also email an invitation to anyone who request it if you need it for job purposes or to give or mail to any other family members. I will email one copy and you can print your own for others. I will have photos available after the end of March of the Ceremony if anyone is interested in copies I will also have video available as well. But if you want copies of the video they will be for sale only. I will ask only for cost of the extra video cassette's and cost of postage to mail them in advance. WE have invited KBMT TV Beaumont, The Beaumont Enterprise and the Buna Beacon to also attend we have not gotten a response yet from them if we do I will post a message to let people know.
