Charles E. Loe Obituary-11 Oct 1956:
Charles E. Loe, 75, 330 Elm St., died at 4:50 am. this morning at Fairborn Nursing Home, where he had been a patient since Saturday.He had been ill four years and in serious condition the past eleven weeks.
Mr. Loe was born Sept. 13, 1881 at the Loe homestead on Dayton Pike on the same farm where his son, Edwin, now lives.His parents were John and Elizabeth Dick Loe.He was a member of Yellow Springs Presbyterian Church, and a retired employee of the Southwestern Portland Cement Co., Fairborn.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Faye; one daughter, Josephine (Mrs. J. Leonard) Grimes; one son, Edwin, Dayton Pike; and four grandchildren.
The body is at Coffman Funeral Home where friends may call Friday 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 2:00 pm Saturday with REv. Buckley S. Rude officiating.Burial will be in Glen Forest Cemetery.

Charles E. Loe, 75, a yellow Springs resident and retired employee of Southwestern Portland Cement Co. here, passed away early this morning in the Fairborn Nursing Home where he was a patient since Saturday.
Ill for the past four years and more seriously the past 11 weeks, Mr. Loe expired at 4:50 am today.He was born in the Loe homestead on Dayton Pk. to John and Elizabeth Ditk Loe.His present residence was 330 Elm St., Yellow Springs.
Mr. Loe was a member of Yellow Springs Presbyterian Church. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Faye, include:
A daughter, Mrs. Josephine Grimes, Yellow Springs; a son, Edwin Yellow Springs route 1; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday from the Coffman Funeral Home, Yellow Springs, the Rev. Buckley Rude officiating. Burial will be in Glen Forest cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm tomorrow.
