Here is what I do have on My John Lowe,
thought if I listed this info it might help and possiblyfind some kind of connections... I do not have any info on John other than pension .I have been unable to find out any on the wife or wives of John Lowe.I havent been able to find marriage records as of yet.I live in Texas and dont have sources to look in Bledsoe.would love to compare with youon Lowe family..Hope this might help some.

THIS INDENTURE made this 30th
day of October 1815, Between John Lowe and Martha Lowe of the State of Tennessee of the One part
and Bird B. Spears of the County of Anson and State of No. Carolina of the other part, Witnesseth that
the said John and Martha Lowe for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to them in
hand paid the receipt whereof the said John and Martha Lowe hath granted bargained sold conveyed
and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Bird B.
Spears his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land that was left to Martha Lowe as
Legacy from her father Edward Brantley Estate lying and being in the County of Halifax State of North
Carolina being part of the tract that Edward Brantley lived on and said tract of land is to by held by the
boundaries of said Division of the Estate containing seventy eight acres be the same more or less
together with all woods waters water courses prefits privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging
unto him the said Bird B. Spears his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Lowe and Martha
Lowe for them selves their heirs and Exers. Admrs. doethe by these presents promise to warrant and
forever defend the above described tract of parcel of land and premises and every part and parcel
thereof free and clear of and from all lawful claims of incumbrances him the said Bird B. Spears his

CONFEDERATE TENNESSEE TROOPS
13th Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry (Gore's)
13th Cavalry Regiment, usually called Dibrell's 8th Cavalry, was organized in
September, 1862, as a partisan ranger command. Its twelve companies were from
Overton, Putnam, White, and Jackson counties. The regiment was assigned to
Forrest's, Humes', Biffle's, and Dibrell's Brigade. It fought at Parker's Cross Roads ,
skirmished in Alabama and Georgia, then was engaged at Chickamauga. Later the
unit was involved in the AtlantaCampaign, saw action at Saltvillein Virginia, took
part in the defense of Savannah, and participated in the conflicts at Averyboro and
Bentonville . The unit served as President Davis' escort and surrendered at
Washington, Georgia, on May 2, 1865. Its commanders were Colonels George G.
Dibrell and Mounce L. Gore, Lieutenant Colonel F.H. Daugherty, and Majors William

Company E,twenty-fifth Tennessee Infantry in theConfederate ArmyAffidavits state
they knewhe inlisted in 1861.They also know said Lowe remained in the Armyuntil
the close of War.J.W.Goodwin states he was a Lieutenant of the same Company E. of
the Tenn 25th Regiment and states G.J.Lowemade a good soldier---he also states
said Lowe was badly wounded while in the service.P.A.Henessee was also in the said
Company with said Lowe.Affiants also states they was all there mustered into Service

I,Mrs Mary E.Lowe do hereby make application to the Comptroller of Public Accounts
for a pension ,to be granted me under the Act passed by the Thirty-Third Legislature
of the State of Texas,and approved April 7,1913 ,A.D.,on the following grounds:
I am the Widow of G.J.Lowe ,deseased,who departed this life on the 28th day of May
A.D. 1920 in the county of Hill in the State of Texas.I have not remarried since the
death of my said husband,and I do solemnly swear that I was never divorced from my
said husband,andthat I never voluntarily abandoned him during his life,but remained
his true ,faithful and lawful wife up to the date of his death.I married him during his life
on the 24 day of Nov .A.D. 1885 in the county of White in the State of Tenn.My
husband G.J. Lowe enlisted and served in the military service of the Confederate
States during the War bewteen the States of the United States and he did not desert
the Confederate service.I have been a resident of the State of Texas since prior to
January 1,A.D. 1900 and have been continuously since a citizen of the State of Texas.
I do further state that I do not receive from any source whatever money or other
means of support amounting in value to the sum of $300.00 per annum,nor do I own
in my own right ,nbor does anyone hold in trust for my benefit or use,estat or poperty,
either real,personal,or mixed,either in fee or for life,of the value of one thousand
dollars,exclusive of the home of the value of not over $1000:nor do I receive any aid
or pension from any other State,or from theUnited States or from any other source,
and I further state that the answers given to the following questions are true:
