Hi! Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to find Silas Lowder who born in Tennessee.

On a 1860 census, his residence is in Howard County, Indiana and he was 35 years old. He has children named Nathan, Sarah, William, Allen and Mary.

We have tried to find his parents with little success on our end. When I saw your Lowder site, I thought maybe I could find a connection with all your folks.

We always heard that he was a Quaker. He has a grandson named Rolla which seems to be a name that is in that North Carolina Lowder group.

So I thought I would try to find Lowder families that went from North Carolina to Tennessee.

Thanks for any help.
Linda Marable, great, great granddaughter of Silas Lowder.
