I am researching the WHITTON name amongst others and I have come across Isabella Macintosh Low WHITTON as the daughter of Jane WHITTON. LOW is indicated as a generation marker so I'm wondering if it was the surname of her father as he is not mentioned anywhere.
Can anyone help?
