I am an Owens researcher who is seeking the source of the apparent connection between Levi, John, David, Sarah and Mary Owens (my ancestor, who married Nelson Moran) of Amherst and Nelson Counties, VA circa later half of the 18th century to about 1840, with the Loving family of that area and during that same time period? Levi and David in particular may have had the closest connections here as Lunsford Loving was executor of Levi Owens' 1828 Nelson County, VA will and David was associated in the early 1800s with the Fortunes in the above area, some of whom I am told intermarried with the Lovings. (At this point, I can find no indication the connection was directly between the Owens and the Fortunes.) I wonder if Mary Owens (mother of the named Owens siblings above) may have been a Loving herself, possibly a previously-unknown daughter of John Loving, Sr. and Susannah Lomax?
Any and all feedback here is greatly appreciated, many thanks!
