Apparently the two children who had died by 1900 were the Floyd girls, Eliza and Angeline. That would explain why the Floyd marriage has not been remembered in the family.Eliza apparently did have at least one daughter with Mason Crum, Sada Crum.
A check of the 1850 Sangamon census and the 1860 Dallas County census (Lancaster area) reveals that William Penny and family, Harrison Penny, and Jonathan Kelly and family (including father Elisha) show up in both, so the whole group must have moved together some time during the 1850s.Perhaps William Penny's wife Mary/Polly was a Kelly, a sister of Zilla's and that is where the Penny name got attached to Noah.Harrison Penny and a George Yoakum (also from Sangamon, I believe) are shown living with and working for William Penny and a Green Jones.
I would be interested in any additional information on David H. Floyd. He was my great-grandfather Charles Augustus Floyd's oldest brother, but we do not know much about him.
