I do not think it can be the same Hayman Lovering but in the Whites Directory of 1850 there is a Hayman Lovering listed as a farmer at Horridge Farm in the village of Ashford which is situated between Barnstaple and Braunton, Devon. Also I can remember my mother (whose maiden name was Lovering) mentioning a Hayman Lovering at Ashford so did she remember a son perhaps who may be the one you are looking for (my mother was born in 1912 in Braunton). Unfortunately my mother died a few years ago so I cannot ask her but I will try to discover more and if I do I will contact you again.
