George Washington Loveall - In a letter
I started my family search with a simple letter that my Grandmother's niece
sent her of some family history. I can't recall the niece's name, but asked
my father for it.
In the letter it states:
Great Grandfather George Washington's death notice or record at Warren Co.
IA courthouse Indianola, IA stated he was resident of the State 21 years.
Now, Aunt May told me the farm was mis-represented by land agent and they
went to Missouri and lived a year, now I understand other Loveall's had come
there previously, but then they got the business straightened out and came
to the farm about 1874 to remain for sometime in Loveall/Lovell name (farm 2
miles W. and 1 1/2 of Lacona, IA.
In the letter it list several children of George.....I don't recognize some
of them?
Kate, Robert J., Alma Eva, William Andrew, Emma Ada, George Webster Vokies
(or Vohies, hard to read), Cashua (died at 4 y. old), Eddie, Harry (died at
4 month old), Ida, Myrthle May, Elmer..........these are the names listed in
the letter. I think the woman who wrote this letter was named Ida, but not
sure...... I will find out through my father, the woman's name that sent my Grandmother Edna Lois Lovell-Brower the letter.
