Paul Truman Lovelady----1916-2002
Paul Truman Lovelady passed away at his home in Quitman, Texas on Tuesday 14 May, 2002. He died of a 'silent heartattack' after working in his garden. My last surviving uncle, he is survived by his wife Helen, a daughter, Pauline and two grandchildren. He spent thirty years in service starting in the US Army, then USAAF, and finally USAF. He was a navigator on bombing runs over Germany in WWII, after the war he was stationed all over the world always in bombers. I remember that he wrote me from stations in Korea, Japan, Guam, Nevada, and Turkey. After he retired he worked for Texas Instruments for many years, finally retiring to the east Texas farm country he loved. Over the years he gave me many things, hundreds of foreign stamps, tons of rocks, silver dollars, a german snipers rifle, and a love of genealogy. I will miss him a lot.
