There is a Capt. Samuel Lightner,born 1771, who was judge at Sicily Island, LA. He married Elizabeth Lovelace.
There are a lot of Lovelace on the island. They are listed as pioneers of the island, and that they came from South Carolina.
They had a daughter that married a Bowie.
