The January/February 2008 issue of ANTIQUES & FINE ART magazine in a full-page advertisement pictures a portrait of a teenage David Lovejoy, possibly of Boston, Mass., born about 1832. The portrait was painted in 1845. This fine portrait should be made known to the Lovejoy family. I am scanning it in case any of their Lovejoy descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Lovejoy family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and historic value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a portrait of a Pease family member, I'd certainly hope someone would do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
