While reading the article regarding Col Robert Love I noticed some minor errors to bring to your attention and thought to also include an observation possibly of interest to Love researchers. The area of Greasy Cove and Erwin were once part of Mire's District. Erwin was changed from Longmire, a name given for Charles Longmire, early Tn pioneer and first postmaster of that area. He was the uncle of Elijah Longmire who eventually migrated from Granville, N.C. to the Big Valley area of Tn. Elijah's brother John also moved to Tn. The Longmires are originally from Va. A rudimentary map of that area of Tn can be found here: http://www.tngenweb.org/washington/places/1836civl.htm Interestingly, a son of Charles, John Longmire, was also a state legislator in Asheville (Buncombe Co, N.C.) Prior to that he was a sheriff. The likelihood that the Longmires knew the Loves is quite probable. Also of note, Elijah and his brother John's father, William Longmire, is found in 1775-1776 on land adjoining that of William Love and John Love in Cumberland Parish, Lunenburg Co, Va.
