Darlene: My Love roots are also in Scotland and Ireland. My 3rd great-grandfather John Love was reported to have come from Ireland to South Carolina in 1806 with his parents. I do not have proof of the year. This has been my dead end. John Love was reportedly married to Mary Dixon or Dickson in Scotland or Ireland, and then came immediately to America. If you find any information on this line I would really like to hear from you.
