The Lovett/Lovitt/Lovet/Lovit/Lovette lines in the U.S. are DNA testing and inviting others in the world to do the same - we are all mostly stuck as it appears you are in England. The questions could be did a name spelling change occur on some lines at the hands of an illiterate dock hand? This may be the reason you're having difficulty finding more Lovatt's and we are having problems finding our surnames...
