Looking for information on James LOUNSBERRY, b. Peekskill, New York abt 1800 plus or minus 20 yrs. Married Margaret [--?--]. Parents of Albert B. LOUNSBERRY/ LOUNSBURY, b. 4 Jul 1856, Water Town, New York, d. 13 Aug 1923, East Hamburgh, Erie County, New York. Albert married (date not known to me) to Elizabeth A. OLMSTEAD, b. 15 Oct 1855, Dillard, Ontario, Canada, d. 2 Jan 1922, East Hamburgh, New York.
I note that on "Susan's Family Genealogy" there is a James LOUNSBURY, b. 12/1787, Peeksville New York, d. 1856; son of Eppenetus LOUNSBURY, b. 1716. He is too old and there is no mention of a "Margaret"; but perhaps there were issue?
I further note that John LOUNSBURY, b. 1782, d. 9/1862 - Butcher in Peekskill, New York, also had a son James LOUNSBERRY, b. 1810, d. 1874 in Yorktown. Ages are more compatible but still no mention of a "Margaret".
Finally, Susan also shows a James LOUNSBERY, b. 6/03/1795 in NY d: 2/10/1871. He was son of Stephen LOUNSBERY, b. 2/03/1758 in Bedford, NY, d. 12/03/1839. Again, no wife is mentioned.
These last two are certainly possibilities.
Can anyone shed more light on my elusive James and/or his son Albert B. LOUNSBERRY/LOUNSBURY? Willing to share info on Albert's descendants. Thanks. Glenn
