I finally got lucky on a census search tonight and found the father of my Emma and Electa (Alecta was another spelling). In Marlborough, Ulster, NY in 1850:

Henry Lounsberry/Lonsbury b. abt 1820 NY

Hester (may have been Hester Jane or Jane Hester) b. abt 1821/2 NY

Children (all b. NY):
Charles W
John A
Jesse
Alicta
Savania or Lavania
Mary Ann
