Diane, would it be possible to get a copy of the naturalization papers that Michel Entzminger witnessed? I am doing some research for his granddaughter and great grandson. Michel was also born in Alsace-lorraine. And his mother was a Muller. I cannot find his immigration date, however his brother Lorentz Entzminger immigrated with his sister Salome in 1886. They settled in Sonoma County. Michel is listed as a butcher in the 1880 census for San Francisco, so he immigrated earlier than his older brother. We may have a link here between families in Alsace. (This is an old post and I hope your are still active to this site.)
