James Loudon died in East Baton Rouge Parish, LA on August 27, 1831.
Additional notes I have on James Loudon:
James Loudon came to Louisiana about 1785 and settled in the Felicianas. In October 1797 he received a grant for 740 acres of land from the Spanish Government. This land grant included the area around the Sandy Creek on the East side of the Mississippi River known as "The Plains".In addition to this 740 acres, James purchased 500 acres of land from P. L. Alston.
James and his wife Elizabeth were members of the Old Baton Rouge Presbyterian Church.
How do you descend from James and Elizabeth?I descend from their daughter Sarah Ann Loudon. She married John Patrick Sullivan in W. Feliciana Parish, LA. on October 12, 1814.
Again, I hope this helps.
