I was notified of your message by a Jim Loudon on www.familyhistory.com .
We are distant cousins.I have newspaper clippings from my grandmother, Mildred Arizina Loudon Brown, for Sylvester.I have a picture of Alonzo Loudon and his wife, Kate Shores. The American Indian connection is on the Shore's side of the genealogy.I have copies of Eunice Yeoman Loudon's (William Loudon's wife)Revolutionary War Widows Pension documents from the National Archives. However, the fifth and last child (Elijah) is not mentioned in these documents.Do you have any supporting documentation for Elijah. The family bible which Eunice mentions in the documents was lost but may be in the hands of descendants of her other children. Some one did research for the DAR on William Loudon. The pension documents describe how William was injuried by an exploding cannon. And, there is a deposition from a Revolutionary War soldier about William's service. Our oral history also includes a brother, Robert, who supposedly returned to Scotland to reclaim the family inheritance at the death of their father.
