No Proof, just a educated guess. Some women from Texas who claim to be descendants of these Andersons say that Elizabeth's maiden name was Lott. That she was a daughter of a Mark Lott and that she first married William C. Anderson. After William C. Anderson was killed during the Civil War, Elizabeth remarried to Rev. Gibson Washington Joiner and they moved to Bell County Texas. William C. Anderson's household was the next household to the Mark Lott household in the 1850 census of Randolph County Alabama. It seem reasonable that this Mark Lott would live near his children. Elizabeth Anderson named her 5ty child (2nd son) Mark. Mark Lott gave his birth place as S.C. in the 1850 census. Elizabeth Anderson also gave her birth place as S.C. in that census.

Just a guess

James
