SueAnn. Hi I found your message the other day, and must ask what was your source of information for the marriage of Nicholas Schenck and Hetty Lott? and that for Hetty as a child of Hendrick Lott, and which Hendrick Lott? 1715, 1716, 1718, 1729 I suspect 1716 md to a Katherine () son of Peter and Femmetje (Remsen) Lott. Am I close?
I have been chipping away on My Schenck Wall for years, and your message was like handing me a sledge hammer.Donald Schenck of N.J. now dead compiled a huge Schenck data base, and a online angel gave me a outline of my "Lost" liniage, from that database. no dates but a guide. Specifically the line from Roelof M. Schenck to Nicholas, and his wife Hetty.
Then, I found your message, I looked in "The Lott family in America" by Phillips, to see if I could find the Lott liniage. But, I had no indication of which of many contemporary Hendrick Lotts could be the father of Hetty. And, does Hetty have another name? Esther, Hester, Henrietta?
Any help, clues, sources to check etc, would be greatly appreciated.Post here if you can or want to help. Thanks for any reply. Paul D. Schenck
