Debbie, perhaps your Moses is the person bc 1760 who was a son of Isaac Losey and wife Miriam Hathaway who married on April 5, 1759 in Morristown.Isaac was born about 1739, son of William and Phebe.Miriam was bc 1742 in Morristown, NJ, dau of Abraham Hathaway and Sarah.Moses had 2 brothers that I know of:Jesse and William, perhaps also a James. Moses had children named: Solomon b 1790, married Polly Myers in KY and Lavinia Terrell in KY; Enoch b 1792; Samuel b 1793 in PA; William Howard b 1793 PA died KY; Henry b 1804 Ky.
I have the most information about Jesse. He went to Tioga county, PA, married Martha Losy (perhaps a cousin) on 17 Feb 1784 in First Presbyterian church, Morristown, NJ.Jesse died in Holidaytown, PA 1844 age 85. From a descendant he was said to have also married 4 times.Martha was his second wife. His first was Rosaltha; third was Zilpah Adams, fourth was Patty. His children were Noah, Isaac, Samuel, John, Phebe
William went to Ohio and died there in 1852.He perhaps married Rosanna Cole in 1782 in Morristown. They had the following children:Jacob; Abraham; Nancy; Barbara; Samuel; Barnabus b 1783; Stephen b 1790, d 1867; Polly b 1798 m John Pierce; William b 1808, d 1852, m Elvira Clark and had 8 ch.
There were 2 men named Moses Losey/Locy who served in the Revolution from Morris county, NJ.One was born about 1750 and died Dec 7, 1803, was a private and served in the militia as a waggoner. The other had a wife named Mary, was a private in the militia of the western battalion and served as a waggoner. His pension #S16257.
I don't know if your Moses with a wife named Rachel is connected or not. Perhaps someone else can contribute to this discussion?
