Hi Nancy

I am trying to place my Daniel Losee (1762-1844) of Greenburgh and Yorktown in the Losee pedigree and I know your Townsend Losee was also of Westchester Co. Who do you have as the father of Townsend? And do you know of my Daniel?
I found record of a Townsend Losee as one of the Beekman Tenants in Cortlandt Manor between "1769-1752". Townsend "Losse" had 192 acres and his rent was in arrears in 1769. He later received a new lease in 1772 and had his rent decreased to 4 pounds. There are no Walters listed among these tenants.
THe only other Losee mentioned is Lawrence Losee, but he was a tenant of the Cortlandts. I think this was the Lawrence born in 1705, son of Simon Losee and M Koeck as he was said to be of Westchester County in 1739.
