Sharon,
this is a long shot.I am doing research on my nephews fathers side of the family. His ggm was Georgia Loring. She was born 1879 in Texas.Found her on the 1880 census with her parents Thomas bMass 1848 and Mary b Tx 1853 in Houston Harris Co Tx.She is again on the census 1900 with parents in Anderson Co. TX.She is in her first marriage to a Holley, with son Andrew Dewey Holley. After the 1900 census she had another child(dau-Goldie) by Holley abt 1905 Georgia married a Hilliard Mason(my nephews ggf) abt 1908. Also in the hh is a brother b. abt 1887/1888 I read name of Edward, possibly Edgar??Worth checking out.Mother Mary stated she had 8 children, only 5 living. The 1900 census reads first name Thomas as father, however the transcriber shows Nan Loring.Others in hh is Fredrick W. (son) and Ethel (dau). He was married to Allie Mae (possibly Adamson). They are in the Johnson Co. Tx census 1910 he is listed as E.E.(C?) Loring, 1920 in Galveston Co as Edward and 1930 listed as Edgar.one daughter named Pauline. Shows as Blacksmith(?) for railroad. Hopefully this is your connection.
