I now have a copy of Frederick Loring's Australian naturalisation papers with more info, which hopefully will help anyone out there to help us out.
He states that he was born on the 26th April 1857 in Boston, MA. He arrived in Australia at Rockhampton, or Keppel Bay on 19th March 1872 on the triple mast extreme clipper the 'Light Brigade' via London, as a crew member which would make him almost 16 at arrival. The Light Brigade was christened the Ocean Telegraph and built 1854 by Jas. O. Curtis, Medford, MA. Apparently it was quite a fast ship!
If anyone has any info as before, about any subject on Frederick or just the ship, that would be great. We have also aquired quite a few pioneer indexs on CDROM for Australia, with which we would be glad to help others looking for links to Australia.
Thankyou
